It is essential to conduct your demo during the core times listed above. However, we encourage you to also demonstrate your work outside of these times if possible.

Some judges will be evaluating the demonstrations. They will be identifiable by their lanyards. To ensure adequate time for evaluation, please give priority to the judges when they arrive at your booth.

If you need to ship your equipment or require an invitation letter, please contact us at asiahaptics2024_info@sunway.edu.my for further instructions.

About Short Presentations

Prior to the core demo sessions, there will be brief presentations for each session. These will be 80 seconds in length, with a bell to signal the end of the time. Please ensure that your presentation adheres to this time limit. You are required to submit a single-page PowerPoint (PPT) slide for your presentation. Slides will be collected in advance and presented on a shared PC.

Details on where to send your slides will be provided shortly. While you may include videos, please be aware that there may be compatibility issues due to differences between Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as potential codec problems. Local staff will check compatibility in advance and notify you if any issues arise. To avoid complications, please use standard video formats whenever possible.

Notes for General Demos

For tactile demonstrations, where participants must wear devices such as HMDs, the experience time per person is often longer due to the time needed to put on and take off the equipment. We kindly ask that you engage participants by answering their questions during this time. If there is a long queue, please manage the line efficiently so that all participants have an opportunity to experience the demonstration comfortably.
